There is currently an iOS system bug that prevents the keyboard dismiss button from appearing in certain situations in the app. Particularly in the “Add dive” page. This can be an inconvenience as the keyboard takes up a significant portion of the screen when adding or editing information in a dive.

An alternative iOS system method to dismissing the keyboard is to swipe down on the page from the middle to the bottom edge of the screen, such that the keyboard is pushed downwards until it disappears. This will close the keyboard until you activate it again by tapping on any text input field.

Make sure you are swiping downwards on the page, outside of any control elements, such as the map view. Swiping inside the map will pan the map, as normal, instead of pushing the keyboard away to dismiss.
